Know thy self...

Your body is easily the most complex organism in the known universe. Nothing else we know of even comes close.


To put it simply, you are dust that is organized by the power in your nerve system into a functional form. The organizing force that makes you and I different from rocks and sand is what flows through your body. It's the "bio" in biology. Your brain, spinal cord, and nerves are like the filament in a light bulb. The quality of your life is directly proportional to how well this power flows through you. Once the power leaves your body, you return to dust. In other words, once you lose the organizing force, all of your atoms dissociate, break their bonds, and re-assimilate back into nature.


How does all that work? Answer that question and a Nobel Prize with your name on it will be on it's way faster than you can say "Subluxation". What you need to know is that your nerve system processes all of your body's functions every second, every day. Modern neurologists estimate you perform at least 6,000,000,000,000 functions per second, every second, for your entire life. How can you control a system that's that complex? You can't. That's why our healthcare system is such a mess. Instead of controlling the human body, why not support it by making sure it is free from interference? That's what chiropractic does for people, and that's why it works so well. Proper spinal alignment means proper power distribution.

If this is all true, why isn't chiropractic more mainstream?


First off, it is mainstream. It's the second largest health care delivery system in the world, second only to western medicine. So why do we hear of people calling chiropractic quackery, unscientific, dangerous, or even voodoo? You're not going to like this, but there's a very good reason. You need to know about "The Wilk Suit". It's a lawsuit that was filed by 5 private practice chiropractors in the 1970's against the American Medical Association. (Talk about David vs. Goliath! The AMA is one of the wealthiest and most powerful political lobbies in the world.) Long story short, Goliath went down hard. The US federal courts discovered that since the 1920's, the AMA had been actively engaged in trying to defame and destroy the entire profession of chiropractic. They had a committee of about 20 people who's full time job was to get rid of chiropractic. The government put the smack down with a hefty fine and blew their cover. None the less, the damage was done. Brave and passionate chiropractors have been fighting an uphill battle for four generations. Now is our time to shine. The medical system has failed and we all know it. It's time for you and your family to demand better answers to your health concerns. Vote with your feet and your dollars. The medical system is for emergencies. To get well and be well, hire a chiropractor to make sure your spine and nervous system stay in tip top shape.


Is chiropractic care safe?


YES! The odds of being injured by receiving chiropractic care are about the same as getting struck by lightning and winning the lottery in the same day. Chiropractic care is good for you. By the way did you know that properly prescribed medicine is the 5th most common cause of death in the US? (JAMA, Starfield, et al, 2001)


Once you go to a chiropractor, do you have to keep going back?


No. Getting adjusted by a chiropractor is a lot like brushing your teeth. If you only brushed your teeth once in your life, that day was a good day! It doesn't make you wrong or bad for not brushing all the other days of your life, but it would have been a good idea. 100 yeasr ago it really bothered most people that dentists were recommending that we brush and floss daily. Now it's considered common knowledge. Chiropractors are in the same position dentists were all those years ago. Getting adjusted by your chiropractor on a regular basis is a good plan for a healthy life.


What is the popping sound?


It's sort of like opening a can of soda or beer. There are gases compressed into joint fluid. When the joint moves it opens and changes the pressure. The gases escape and make a sound. It's the same thing that happens when you get up from sitting or laying for a long time and your joints pop. It is neither good nor bad for joints to pop. It just happens.
